Getting around is about so much more than just convenience. The bus opens up communities and brings together people from all walks of life. It’s the affordable choice, the choice that’s kinder to the planet, and the choice for all.

We listen to our customers, our teams, and our communities, and you all help shape where we’re headed.

About First Bus

We believe the bus is the future for society, for local economies, for the planet, for all.

At First Bus we're dedicated to providing a friendly, reliable, and hassle-free service for our customers and will continue do everything we can to move people out of their cars and onto the bus. As one of the UK’s largest bus operators, we connect communities from Aberdeen to Cornwall, helping get to work, school, college, appointments, and leisure activities effortlessly.

Collaborating closely with local authorities, we're actively improving air quality, reducing congestion, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. We’re also focused on becoming a leader in the transition to a low-carbon future, and have committed to operating a zero-emission bus fleet by 2035.

We’ll continue to invest in our people, our services and state-of-the-art technology as we look to improve our customers’ experiences. Our drivers undergo rigorous training focused on safety, responsibility, and customer service, ensuring those on board have an enjoyable journey. We pay our people what they deserve too, which is why we were the UK’s largest national bus operator to become a real Living Wage employer

About Air Decker

Air Decker was launched in March 2013 as a result of lengthy discussions with Bath Tourism Plus, local businesses and residents who identified a need for a direct link between Bath and Bristol Airport. Previously, any journeys to the airport from Bath would have required travelling by train to Temple Meads, changing to a bus for onward travel, by taxi or by personal car.

Not only does Air Decker connect Bath to Bristol Airport, but it also serves every stop along the route, allowing people to make local journeys for leisure or work.

Originally operating an hourly service between 3am and midnight, it grew in popularity, and now runs nearly 24hrs per day, 7 days a week. An additional journey at 02:10am assists airport staff to arrive for early shifts, and a 01:00am departure from Bristol Airport helps those who land later in the evening.

With the latest technology in ticketing solutions and high standard of customer service delivered by the driving team, Air Decker is the preferred choice for many.
