Service Update – 8th February 2021

At present we are continuing to operate an hourly service as per our Covid-19 timetable. Detailed timings can be found here.

We are closely monitoring our passenger numbers daily to ensure passenger demand is met, and service frequency can be altered accordingly.

We have a demonstrator bus operating as an Air Decker for a few weeks. We kindly ask all passengers wishing to use our services to look out for our green vehicles and our PINK demo bus! 

The local authority have altered the validation of concessionary passes. They are now valid for 24 hours a day, not after 9am. This is in place until Friday 26th February 2021.

Face coverings are a mandatory requirement on all forms of public transport in England. We kindly ask all passengers to board our vehicles with your face covering on, and to keep these on for the duration of your journey. To aid this guideline we have temporarily suspended the consumption of food on all our vehicles.

Yellow seat signs have been allocated to specific seats on the upper deck, and lower deck to encourage passengers to keep at a safe distance whilst using our service. Please can you keep all seats with a sign on clear throughout your journey.

Service Update – 8th February 2021

Due to Wessex Water works in place at Beechmount Grove bus stop along Airport Road, we are unable to access this stop in the Airport to Bath direction. A temporary stop has been placed 55 metres after the original stop. We ask all passengers to wait, signal and board there. All other stops remain accessible.

Service Update – Beechmount Grove

Tomorrow, 8th February 2021, Beechmount Grove bus stop in the Airport to Bath direction will be inaccessible for the entire day. This is due to work in place from Wessex Water. A temporary bus stop will be allocated 55 metres after the original stop. Please signal and board our Air Decker vehicles at this stop. All other stops remain accessible, we apologies for any inconveniences this may cause. 

Service Update – 1st February 2021

We currently have a demonstration bus running as Air Decker for a few weeks. Social media posts show a clear photo of what this bus looks like but it is in fact PINK, with a bee on the side! So if you wish to use our services and are boarding from a stop along our route, be sure to keep an eye out for our demo bus aswell as our green Air Decker vehicles.

Concessionary passes are now valid for 24 hours a day, they are no longer accepted after 9am. The local authority have brought this into place until Friday 26th February 2021. We are encouraging passengers to pay via contactless payment where possible, this is to reduce the amount of cash handling between drivers and passengers. We are accepting cash on board when necessary.

We have introduced social distancing measures on all our Air Decker vehicles. Hand sanitizer is available near the drivers cab as you board and alight the buses. We have yellow seat signs on both the top deck and bottom deck which state “Social distancing in place. Please keep this seat clear!” We have allocated these signs onto specific seats to encourage passengers to keep at a safe distance along their journey.

Service Update – Demo Bus

Passengers, keep your eyes peeled for the next few weeks as you will not only have to look out for a GREEN Air Decker but you will also have to look out for a PINK double-decker! We have a demonstration bus operating our Air Decker service for the next few weeks.

Bath Bus Company wants to ensure all passengers are aware of this bus, and want to make sure there is no confusion when waiting for an Air Decker. An A4 Air Decker banner will be placed in the top window, but we kindly ask all passengers to be extra vigilant when waiting at a bus stop, and to keep an eye out for a PINK double-decker along our route as this is an Air Decker vehicle and it will stop when signaled to do so. 

Service Update – 26th January 2021

Due to the road works in place on Unity Road, Keynsham, he original bus stops will be inaccessible but temporary bus stops will be put in place. Please board and alight here, and ensure you signal for the bus for it to stop. This is for both Bath and Bristol Airport directions and is in place from 26th Jan – 29th Jan.

All other stops remain accessible, we apologies for any inconveniences this may cause.

We kindly ask all passengers wishing to use our Air Decker service to please board all our vehicles wearing your face covering, and to keep these on for the duration of your journey. To aid this guideline, we have temporarily suspended the consumption of food on all our vehicles to ensure everyone is keeping their face coverings on at all times.

Service Disruption- 24th January 2021

Due to heavy snowfall in Bath and Bristol, there is severe disruption to the A4 Air Decker service. The following journeys have been cancelled:

Bath to Airport – 08:00

Airport to Bath – 08:30 and 09:30

We are endeavouring to operate all other journeys but these are subject to delay. We will continue to update our social media pages and website. Please allow plenty of time to reach your destination.
