Important Service Update – 25th November 2022 – Keynsham Winter Festival

On Friday 25-11-22 between 15:00 hours and 22:00, Keynsham High Street, Ashton Way and associated roads are shut For the Keynsham Winter Festival to take place. This means we will NOT be able to travel through Keynsham during these times, but we will serve Keynsham church on every trip.

Therefore, we will be diverting as follows: 

Bath > Airport – Normal route to Ellsbridge House where the service will divert along Keynsham bypass. It will then enter Keynsham, and travel to Keynsham Church where normal route will resume. We will be unable to serve Unity Road, Wellsway, Keynsham Memorial Park and Ashton Way.

Airport > Bath – Normal route to Keynsham Church where the service will stop on the opposite side of the road to the normal stop. The service will travel out of Keynsham to Hicksgate roundabout, travel along the bypass, rejoining the normal route at Ellsbridge House. We will be unable to serve High Street, Keynsham Memorial Park, The Talbot and Unity Road.

Normal service will resume once all roads have reopened.

Diversion – 14th, 17th and 18th November 2022

On 14-11-22 and then again on 17-11-22 and 18-11-22, The upper Bristol Road is closed in both directions from just after the Windsor bridge. Due to the above closure the A4 service will be diverted.

The following Air Decker departures will be affected: 

Bath > Airport – 19:00, 20:00, 21:00, 22:00, 23:00, 00:00, 03:00, 04:00, 05:00, 06:00

Airport > Bath – 18:30, 19:30, 20:00, 21:00, 22:00, 23:00, 00:00, 01:00, 04:00, 05:00, 06:00

Therefore, the bus will be diverting as follows: 

Bath > Airport – Normal service as far as Westgate Buildings. The service will divert via Charles Street, Midland Bridge, Lower Bristol Road, Windsor Bridge where it will then resume the normal route. 

Airport > Bath – Normal service as far as Windsor Villas. The service will then divert via Windsor Bridge, Lower Bristol Road, Midland Bridge, Green Park Road where it will then resume normal route at James Street West. 

All bus stops along the diversionary route will be served. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Diversion – 17th October – 22nd October 2022.

From 17th October – 22nd October 2022, Upper Bristol Road will be closed each day between 19:00 hours and 07:00 hours. As a result, the A4 Air Decker will be diverted in both directions during these hours.

The following Air Decker departures will be affected: 

Bath > Airport – 19:00, 20:00, 21:00, 22:00, 23:00, 00:00, 03:00, 04:00, 05:00, 06:00

Airport > Bath – 18:30, 19:30, 20:00, 21:00, 22:00, 23:00, 00:00, 01:00, 04:00, 05:00, 06:00

Therefore, the bus will be diverting as follows:

Important Service Disruption – Bath Half Marathon – 16th October 2022

Due to the Bath Half Marathon, our Air Decker service will be affected between 9:00 hours and approximately 14:30 hours on Sunday, 16 October.

The following Air Decker departures will be unaffected:        

Bath to Airport0300, 0400, 0500, 0600, 0700 and the 08:00.

Airport to Bath0400, 0500, 0600.

After this we will be terminating and starting trips at the Globe roundabout where there will be a controller situated.

The A4 Extra Trip

The 0722 extra trip from Harcliffe Roundabout will be cancelled for this day. This is due to the uncertainty about whether we can safely get the bus out of Bath prior to the road closures. 

Once the roads open, the service will return to normal. We will make a service announcement when we are back operating as normal.

Urgent Service Update – 9th August 2022

Due to an incident involving an object being directed at one of our vehicles we have been operating on a diverted route from 16:00hrs each day.  

Following a review, we have made the decision to revert back to our normal route as of today (09/08/2022) and will be servicing Anton Bantock Way, Queens Head Road and Highridge Common as normal. We will no longer be operating via the diversion. For any queries, please feel free to contact us.
