Free Bus Pass Changes from 1st July
The use of English concessionary passes changes from 1st July 2016 as a result of decisions made by the local councils.
This means English concessionary passes will no longer be valid for free travel to and from Bristol Airport on the A4 Air Decker service. Passes will still be valid for all other local journeys on the A4 however.
Due to this Bath Bus Company is introducing a special senior fare that entitles holders of a valid English concessionary pass to travel at child’s fare to and from Bristol Airport on the A4 service, funded by the company.
Passes are still valid for other local journeys and all other fares, including student and senior fares, will not change.
It has been stressed by company spokesman Connor Flavell that “Only passengers entering the Airport will be affected and pass holders should now take advantage of the new reduced A4 fare”.
