Fare Changes from 25th September 2022

From 25th September, Bath Bus Company will introduce new fares on the A4 Air Decker service.

Local journey fares will fall in line with other operators across the West of England, such as First Group, as a result of the BSIP (Bus Service Improvement Plan), to encourage more people to use public transport.

Adult single local fares in the Bath and Bristol zones will be reduced to just £2.00 with journeys across both zones costing a maximum of £3.70.

You can still make a saving if travelling regularly between Bath City Centre and Highridge Common by purchasing a 10 journey ticket. These will now cost £30.00 and are valid for up to 3 months.

An increase of 50p on all airport single journeys and £1.00 on airport returns will apply.

Airport to Bath: Normal service as far as Windsor Villas. The service will then divert via Windsor Bridge, Lower Bristol Road, Midland Bridge, Green Park Road where it will then resume normal route at James Street West. We will be unable to serve Park Lane, Comfortable Place, Nile Street and Green Park James Street West.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Diversion – 26th September – 30th September 2022.

From 26th September – 30th September 2022 inclusive, there will be roadworks on Pierrepoint Street taking place overnight resulting in the road being closed between 20:00hrs and 07:00hrs the following morning daily.

As a result of this road closure, all Air Decker departures within this period will be arrive and drop off from outside Bath Bus Station, rather than from outside Debenhams. We will also be unable to serve Terrace Walk. Signage will be in place at the usual bus stop to direct you to Bath Bus Station.

All departures outside of these hours will operate as normal. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

We are deeply saddened by the announcement that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has passed away. An inspiration to so many, she dedicated her life to her family, country, the Commonwealth and her people. Her passing is a great loss to all. Our thoughts and sympathies are with His Majesty King Charles III and the Royal Family at this time”
